The Sonata Album (Quentin Kim)

This recording follows pianist Quentin Kim’s debut CD “Romantic Tales,” that earned him accolades from the media, including American Record Guide which praised his “warmth that is always engaging” and exclaiming that “his range of emotion and color is extraordinary.” The CD includes four diverse sonatas: Beethoven’s famous “Appassionata”, Op. 57; Mozart’s luminous Sonata in B-flat major, K. 333; less known Sonata in E-flat major by Wilhelm Friedemann Bach; and the world-premiere recording of Mr. Kim’s own Sonata in G-sharp minor, an emotional journey full of symbolism and beauty, dedicated to Vassily Primakov
