Trio 826 was formed in 2011 by three friends for the purpose of exploring ideas for innovation in the performance of chamber music new and old. The members of the trio have vast experience as orchestral and chamber musicians, soloists, and educators. Their mission is to reach new audiences and explore ways to bring classical music to life through performing new and standard repertoire in a variety of venues, from formal concerts to performances in intimate, informal and unusual settings. Trio 826 is committed to the commission and performance of new works, especially those that cross the boundaries between classical and popular music, such as the works on this disc by Robert Washut and Rebecca Burkhardt.
