With this recording soprano Caroline Helton and pianist Kathryn Goodson continue their exploration of the music of some of the Italian Jewish composers who were central to Italian culture during the first part of the twentieth century, but whose contributions to the repertoire were essentially lost as a result of WWII. Most of the music on this CD has never been recorded and has rarely been performed in the intervening years, but the quality of the songs undoubtedly deserves the efforts to raise them from obscurity.
