After 43 years of concertizing, the Verdehr Trio is internationally known for its dedication to contemporary music and for creating a new and wide-ranging repertoire for the violin-clarinet-piano trio. The Trio contributed nearly 220 works from composers worldwide for this combination, thus encompassing the many styles concurrent during the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
To add variety to its programs, the Trio also made over thirty transcriptions of works by some of the most important figures of the past – Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Schubert to name a few - and has often received requests for these over the years.
The release of these four CDs, many of which are taken from live performances, will be followed in the autumn of 2021 by the publication of these works.
