Brahms (Brian Lee)

Pianist Brian Lee explores the early and late solo piano works of Brahms, reflecting the duality in Brahms and his compositions. There is the sprawling, soaring sweep of the youthful composer in the Sonata No. 3 in F Minor, to his later more traditional styling of the Fantasien, Op. 116. Rounded out by the lesser known, yet breathtaking Ballade in B Major, Op. 10, No. 4 and one of the most well-known lullaby’s in the Western world, Wiegenlied, Op. 49, No. 4 (“Lullaby”). Brian Lee is professor of piano at the Moody Bible Institute and sought after recitalist.
