The title Journey is both in honor of Lori Laitman’s beautiful piece and in recognition of the constant journey traveled by every musician. The idea of recording songs emerged from a project of studying and transcribing the recordings of great singers. This set of sixteen pieces from the 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries provides the perfect opportunity to express the full range of colors available to a saxophonist.
