Fusion (Richard Steinbach)
FUSION is an international recording/performance project featuring some of the latest and most innovative compositions of the 21st century, performed and recorded by concert pianist, Dr. Richard Steinbach.
Dr. Steinbach performed his solo debut at Carnegie Hall in June 2015. Achampion of contemporary music, he has performed extensively throughout the United States,Canada, France, Italy, Great Britain, South America (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador,Peru), Honduras, Jamaica, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan and China. As the grandprizewinner in the France Piano International Competition, he performed his solo debutrecital at the Salle Cortot in Paris in January 1996. Dr. Steinbach is a Professor of Musicat Briar Cliff University, Sioux City, Iowa. He holds degrees in piano performance from theUniversity of Colorado, the Eastman School of Music and the University of Iowa.
The CD focuses on new international works for piano that integrate elements of classical music, popular music, folk music and jazz.
